Goppion Caffè and the bicycle

Meeting at L'Eroica Caffè

Also this year we return to the vintage cycling race of Gaiole in Chianti, with all the originality of a new limited edition dedicated to the event. And we are getting ready for the inauguration of the new L’Eroica Caffè in Barcelona.

Coffee and bicycle meet – once again – at L’Eroica Caffè. Also this year we at Goppion Caffè confirm our collaboration with L’Eroica, the most important cycling race for vintage bikes scheduled for October 7th 2018 on the Chianti roads, but already exported to Great Britain, Spain , Japan and California. For the occasion we will be there with a limited edition tin dedicated to the race. The news is that L’Eroica Caffè will be soon a reality beyond the national borders: on Saturday 20 October, the first cafeteria of the L’Eroica brand opens in Barcelona, Spain. A place that renews the collaboration with Goppion Caffè and prove the link between coffee and that bicycle’s worlds.

“Going to the coffee shop by bike – comments Paola Goppion, our Marketing Manager – and rediscover it as a place for meeting and friendship is an ambition that we are happy to share with L’Eroica. At L’Eroica you rediscover the real bicycle, that one of long climbs followed by a stop in the coffee shop, for a refreshment or a chat. Even the new club in Barcelona was born with this spirit, a meeting point for all the Catalan cycling fans we are proud to be part of “.

On the occasion of L’Eroica we have created a limited edition tin that will be distributed from the day of the race. The over 7 thousand tins will be found in each race package of the participants, in the Bar of L’Eroica in Gaiole in Chianti as well as in the Goppion coffee shops, starting from the day of the competition, until the limited edition runs out. The graphics will have the official appearance of the event, with the illustration of Fabio Consoli, an edition dedicated to Luciano Berruti, witness of heroic cycling, who died suddenly last year. In the collectable tin there is a selection of fine Arabica coffees designed just for the coffee preparation with moka pot, as the Italian tradition wants.
